About KansasCity Lodge # 220

We meet the 2nd Monday of the month at 7pm!

The Kansas City Masonic Temple Building was built in 1909 and is on the National Register of Historic Buildings.

In May 1, 1860, The Grand Lodge A.F. & A. M. of the Grand Lodge of Missouri issued a dispensation to open the Kansas City Lodge in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

The Grand Lodge A.F. & A. M. of the State of Missouri issued the Charter for our Lodge on May 30, 1861.
The Lodge first met at Oldham’s Hall at 3rd and Walnut Streets, then at 7th and Main Streets and at 911 Walnut until that building was destroyed by fire in 1911, when it was moved to the new Kansas City Masonic Temple building where it is today.

The first Mayor of Kansas City, W. S. Gregory was the first Master of the Lodge after it received its Charter in 1861.

During the War between the States, the Master took the Charter and jewels which our officers wear today, burying them someplace on Cliff Drive for three years until the war was over.

As we enter our one hundred and forty-seventh (147) year as a Masonic Lodge and in order that we may continue to be of service to mankind and contribute more than our share to making the world a better place to live, the Lodge and its officers need the support of every member. Please give them your support by attending every meeting possible and sharing in the work that is to be done. The Master, Senior Warden and Junior Warden of the Lodge are its Trustees.
